Jansky Noise - Past Present & Future Star Music

I have lived in Spain for 15 years, during all of my time here I have been surrounded and submerged  in and by music, tonight a certain Tomaso Douglas  played the best song anybody has ever played whilst I have lived and listened to pre-recorded music in Spain.  Which DJ plays Cole Porter in Madrid? Now a day, who does that? Nobody plays Cole Porter, it´s not fair, well it´s not fair to say "nobody plays him", as they clearly do,  that somebody was Tomaso, spinning history in our bar in Lavapies. inside the authentic little Traveling Bar, a place that on more than one occasion can defy and remember musical gems like no other place in the city -what a treat and even strange, whilst listening to the song, no-one, absolutely no body was their, it was just the two of us, inside listening, my own personal show from Cole Porter and of course I requested more. As it stands today on Youtube I was the 823rd person to have played Cole Porter - I am in Love on Youtube today,

In a true and impossible style Jansky noise just appeared in Madrid . True as this did happen and impossible because if you wanted to go, yourself you most probably couldn't as you will most probably have read this after the event. How was it? There was plenty of noise and variation of texture especially from Horacio Pollard and xxxxxx. Jansky played another way Starting with Mississippi blues,  the music was then taken into a kaleidoscope of hymns, and rituals, to slide on through electro, break beat, dubbing his soul and rubber neck funk for those fortune to be in the room.  The event gave birth to an epic rural limbo and movement of hips. In the words of Horacio "Jansky got the party started and kept it there".

What a song, I mean come on. Demis, really this is eternal. It´s just too good. Play loud, play clear, what an absolute belter....Everyday, more and more I am like Demis, one word a hero! Dream come true!!! Enjoy your summer.

Found this little record in a bargin bin crate digging today in Madrid, for 2 euro,  your never gonna knock it. Solid State is something else.

How is this not being used in some film somewhere? So many places you can put this, rolling along in the evening. The city is hot and life keeps moving. Stay present and enjoy.

This is more than just a minor controversy it´s a national drama.  While this is explosive and damaging, the major scandal is sprawling and leaking out, as evidence suggests that the Russians have played a hand in the fall of Mariano Rajoy.  News is still coming in from the boundaries and it's a  blurry affair. As ever the Russians are fast to react and defend their case. However this time the cover-up comes in the form of a cover song from the fortified Kremlin . The Kremlin  normally remain silent however the have broken the  constitutional parameters with a Blues  lament  with strong Russian undertones for Mariano Rajoy. P receding to pass through several  episodes, and themes however is this enough to eliminate  the Russians from this new Spanish scandal ?   What is worse the crim

Computer Age (Push the button) sounds as fresh today as it did 35 years ago.  Newcleus, have been jamming on it forever now, this track helped many others to push the button, as did the Jam on it track.  Ben Cozmo D Cenac pushed a button that never stopped, actually it helped to trigger so much, when you hear this kind of music, you want to start lockin, popping, and looking for cardboard to break on!  As someone commented on Youtube " JAMS for grown ups!!" Word.. I am glad, I had the pleasure of knowing and feeling Newcleus from the day this was launched,  been cranking in my playlist for 35 years, and the CRANK continues to JAM ON IT.

The Kronos Quartet doing a blotted or hazy version of Jimmy Hendrix Purple Haze. Quite a thing. I wonder if the San Francisco quartet were lucky enough to enjoy Jimmy live or the Haze of back yonder. They certainly have been around long enough to try the Haze, smoked or in blotted paper format, perhaps both and all, and they would be in the right geographical location too. With or without a smoke or blotted paper, I like Jimmy and this version has been morphing around my senses and ears for sometime.

What is Doon Kanda upto? Doon kanda, also known as Arca and Björk collaborator  Jesse Kanda , is making some nice rich, space techno, some of which can be aquired via Hyperdub. Vaporwave and Chill wave are nothing new One of the biggest hits from the scene has to be the Toto Africa track, on Youtube you can find at least five versions in various states and forms. At least 8 years has passed since vaporwave emerged. Apollo Mack has released an original version of Africa, which according to vaporwave gospal has been given the proverbial slow treatment, we hope you agree it´s a great vapor dub companion. It was a hot evening in Austria, and I was attending the best festival in Graz. The festival was in full swing, with the crowd dancing to the beats of various techno legends. That's when I saw him, Juan Atkins, one of the godfathers of techno, making his way backstage. I could believe my luck when I saw him, and shortly after we were talking about Eastern bloc and Manchester. As we chatted, I couldn't help but notice his eyes on the girls backstage, he was looking for new encounters with the rich bounty of European ladies in the zone. Despite the bustling environment, Juan was kind enough to take the time to chat with me about music and share some stories, we also did a 1 on 1 photo shoot together, but I never saw the photos from this moment. It is always interesting meeting your idols, and those who inspired me and James Leyland Kirby so long ago. As the night went on, we made our way to the main stage to catch his set. Apparently the words of this song address the people of turkey stating the following : "..not all that is rough, loud, brutal and strict is cool.." and the song refers to the leader of Turkey at the time. So, 'yali yali' means something like ' clear off (erdogan)' it's also a call up for everyone to use their mind and mind their heart!! I am just loving the loop, I wanted this records to be made in the 1970's and just realized it was! Actually 1977. However the Norwegian DJ and producer Todd Terje, which drew my eye as would Todd Terry has been meddling here, making this into a Nu-disco, Synthwave Acid ride. What a rhythm, playing this way, and listening this way, you can only have time on your hands. There is not place for stress in this track. Easy into your armchair, browse a book, contemplate, drink a fine tea or whisky, and against all odd, admire what a world we live in!

It's all about gnomes, they are in everything. Even in our code 503, whilst maintaining server. Thinking about gnomes reminded me of this, so I gave my friend Gabriela a link to a favorite album of ours, that I'd listen to at home in 94-95, and beyond, so long ago now.  That albums was Imaginary Landscapes on the Virgin Ambient label. You can certainly imagine to it, at 20 years of age, could I have imagined my being where I am now? The question is, where will I be in the next 20? Maybe I should ask the Gnomes!

Fasinating to watch and listen to the Bagpipe here being played by so many countries and in so many ways. What a great tribute, shame this has been viewed by so few. Where did the bagpipe come from? Here you have a clue, although famed in Scotland, watching this video should help us to realize the bagpipe is a true instrument of the world.
