It was a hot evening in Austria, and I was attending the best festival in Graz. The festival was in full swing, with the crowd dancing to the beats of various techno legends. That's when I saw him, Juan Atkins, one of the godfathers of techno, making his way backstage. I could believe my luck when I saw him, and shortly after we were talking about Eastern bloc and Manchester. As we chatted, I couldn't help but notice his eyes on the girls backstage, he was looking for new encounters with the rich bounty of European ladies in the zone. Despite the bustling environment, Juan was kind enough to take the time to chat with me about music and share some stories, we also did a 1 on 1 photo shoot together, but I never saw the photos from this moment. Apparently the words of this song address the people of turkey stating the following : "..not all that is rough, loud, brutal and strict is cool.." and the song refers to the leader of Turkey at the time. So, 'yali yali' means something like ' clear off (erdogan)' it's also a call up for everyone to use their mind and mind their heart!! I am just loving the loop, I wanted this records to be made in the 1970's and just realized it was! Actually 1977. However the Norwegian DJ and producer Todd Terje, which drew my eye as would Todd Terry has been meddling here, making this into a Nu-disco, Synthwave Acid ride. It's all about gnomes, they are in everything. Even in our code 503, whilst maintaining server. Thinking about gnomes reminded me of this, so I gave my friend Gabriela a link to a favorite album of ours, that I'd listen to at home in 94-95, and beyond, so long ago now.  That albums was Imaginary Landscapes on the Virgin Ambient label. You can certainly imagine to it, at 20 years of age, could I have imagined my being where I am now? The question is, where will I be in the next 20? Maybe I should ask the Gnomes!

Fasinating to watch and listen to the Bagpipe here being played by so many countries and in so many ways. What a great tribute, shame this has been viewed by so few. Where did the bagpipe come from? Here you have a clue, although famed in Scotland, watching this video should help us to realize the bagpipe is a true instrument of the world.

Composer Jóhann Jóhannsson, Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning Icelandic composer, musician and producer, died in Berlin yesterday. He was 48, and a cause of death was not immediately known.

I am not in Birdland today, but birds are always close to my heart. I have had plenty of the outdoors this weekend, and a special friend has been move from Glasgow. Time to reflect, Sunday with the great Bobby McFerrin and the birds from the Street.

Fats Domino passed away this week, it's one of those things where you think, wow, was he still with us. As you always thin of Fats as a man from another time. Fats Domino sold a greater number of records than anyone except Elvis Presley. He was a star, hailed far and wide. However, he felt like a very normal kid. . Right when Domino grew up in New Orleans.  His father began from a sugarcane home upriver. By 1960 the range was stacked with modest, single-family houses. Domino moved into a front line split-level home. He wasn't there to make a joke of his old friends, be that as it may. This week it rained for the first time in Madrid, since a long time, we really needed it, it felt like the end of the longest summer ever. The rain comes and helps clean, it helps wash away recent events. Caught up in this big river. I love the lyrics in this song. Do I love you? Yes, I LOVE you, but it's easy come and easy go. It is so easy to forget the importance of Kate and Peter, especially if your not from the UK, if you grew up in the UK during the 80's and 90's then you know only too well we were blessed to have this music and much more given to us, via all outlets at the time. It is easy to take this for granted, but time will show this was something else, and a majestic and pure moment. As Peter and Kate state, in your lowest moment - when you hit the bottom,  don't give up, Kate's voice will lift you, her voice directs the message into your heart and soul.  If your not able to see this now, I recommend you do some living and come back in 10 years.

True, you don't hear much on the radio, or in any place like this anymore. Without doubt this is going in the right way, shame so little in terms of vocal are projected this way. Can you feel it?

I have been listening to this song for longer than I have been on this earth.  However, listening now today, the meaning has transformed from it's past the present. This is partially because of the piece of triva, which I discovered thanks to a certain profile on Youtube from D umpster0101 - who states the following : " When a Man Loves a Woman - is a song recorded by Percy Sledge in 1966 at Norala Sound Studio in Sheffield, Alabama. In my current mood this song is quite striking Go find your wife, tell her what you did. Today I am reminded that you never know what is around the corner.  In the last few hours I have had some heavy working of my lungs. I could feel a nightmare wrongness pervading every inch of my body, and now I live this nightmare.  My eyes heavy with tears, as I hope this is a dream. It's not, it is my reality.  As my heart breaks at the loss of a grand opportunity. As I  return from the hub that was calle Fucar where it really all began in so many ways, and I arrive home in La Latina with a song locked in my head.  Perhaps  this song is here because of my old friend Tony from Tony's bar, close to Fucar, where so many magical moments began. I feel like I can step inside this modified version. The audio is so close, I am at home, it´s the weekend, sun is shining in the window, and Ryan is bathing me as he always did, with the best in 80´s audio, I am splashed with sunshine.  Listening to Ryan Paris is like digging out my old Lamborghini Countach.  It sounds so fresh and at the same time absolutely 80´s retro bright, Ryan like the car a best friend, and one that has shared so many emotional moments and times.
