Donnell Pitman - Chocolate Lover

In the steamy dancehall scene of the early '80s, Donnell Pitman's "Chocolate Lover" emerges as a funk-infused dance experiment. The groove-laden track contains an irresistibly smooth bassline and plenty of room in the mix.

Pitman's voice is soft and not forceful. The production reminds me of so many things, but that snare in his studio on the day would have been ideal.
It feels like it could be in a driving movie or a game. That vocal reminded myself of Colonal Abraham or Stevie Wonder. See whether that resonates with you.
