Sumy - Soul With Milk ( Boogie-Funk 1983)

Released in 1983 , Soul With Milk is one of those rare records that feels quietly futuristic without trying too hard. Coming out of Suriname , Sumy blends synth-funk and boogie with a laid-back confidence that sits somewhere between dancefloor heat and late-night listening. The synths glide, the groove stays elastic, and there’s a definite space-electro feel running through it — cosmic, groovy, and easy to ride, with all that human touch.  No excess, no gimmicks, just a super funky pocket that keeps looping in your head. A deep cut that proves funk was already looking toward the stars in the early ’80s. I hope you are getting your soul with milk today.

It's a musical meditation on nature's symphony. Ermel's compositions are a harmonious fusion of traditional Brazilian rhythms and modern electronic elements. Her ethereal vocals, ofte...

Another contender for the soundtrack of 2022? Nobody knows what is coming?  What I do know is that this is absolutely brilliant.  Thanks so much to Pierre Raph.
