It is so sad to hear that today Pita or Peter Rehberg has suddenly died of a heart attack

No one in electronica can deny how Peter was, I remember meeting him and clearly realising how determined he was. The young face here in this photo is quite as I remember him from back then.

From about 1997 we did get quite several chances to meet especially in the early days, the last time we met was at an electronic music festival in Andalucía around 2004.

Before this time we James Leyland Kirby, Speedranch, Matt Wand and many of my close allies couldn't help but notice Mego from it’s early days pre 2006, for me it was actually Farmers Manual Explorers_we in about 2007, that drew me in, and opened me into Mego.

We were all pushing out audio at that time, 1997-2000, all of us working our envelopes and audio, making and branding on to sound.

I will never forget doing the sound for Pita at an event in Hassalt, Belguim, I believe it was one of those FAT CAT records events. I can never forget the time or the moment that I was doing the sound in real time for Pita.

It was a time when he was breaking the Get Out piece, I remember I had not heard this sonic masterpiece till I had the opportunity to EQ it in real-time. what an experience! That was just incredible.

The audience were just saturated in that electric sound piece, we were all captivated by that massive sonic wave of audio, with myself flying the master volume and EQ!.

It was a wonderful moment for me, almost like magic. One I shall never forget. Thanks for creating magic, and audio moments that are crystalized into my memory. RIP PITA.
