The first 8-Track in 22 years?

8-Track, never heard of it? The magnetic format, it has come back to tempt you. In order for something to 'come back', it has to have gone, right? Have you ever had an 8-Track? Now is your chance to get one. As you might expect a machine like this is 100% retro. A 70's sound and deeper. So wrong there right! Don't take our word for it, check this if the machine tickles your whistle, in August 2010, you will be able to buy a new 8-Track, the 1st in 22 years which includes a track by Mr Jansky Noise and other creative birds. The cartridge has bee compiled by Lee Ashcroft for Digital Vomit and Dead Air Recordings, it will cost £20.

The 8-Track contains a series of 4 programs, each program contains spanking new songs for playback on an old machine. We have just obtained a preview of the work and especially loved Al Duval's contribution. Mr Duval (as ever), hit the spot perfectly, lifting spirits, he's truly a wonderful man! On program 001 of we found the excellent dorse-fin-able Sarah Weis with her song entitled Quentin TarantiNo. We suggest this become an extended version yes, a No, No NO!!!!

The complete programming consists of the following artists in this order:

1. Hissing At Swans - Tale Of Woe
2. John Callaghan - When Yesterday Comes
3. Sarah Weis - Quentin TarantiNo

Program 2

1. Beau Wanzer - Storming The Castle
2. Solypsis - Skullfucking Is So 2007

Program 3

1. Al Duvall - Buck Up
2. Nit Nurse - Poetry*
3. The Doomed Bird of Providence - The King Of Coal River

Program 4

1. David Liebe Hart and Adam Papagan - Bed Bugs, Roaches, and Rats
2. Fatigued Owl - The Key
3. PFFR - PFFIGHTTT
4. Jansky Noise - The Osprey

All of the above can now add their names to the 80's 8-track hall of fame alongside artists such as David Bowie, Duran Duran, Fleetwood Mac, Ray Parker Junior, Prince, Toto and many more!
