Jansky Noise - Past Present & Future Star Music

That melody came again and again and it keeps on coming.

This one almost slipped through the net.

Many years have passed, but since about 2003 music has stopped moving forward. There has been no progress, everything now is retro, but listening to this music we made back in the day helps me to try understand our position right now in the world.

My friends at the 10 LABEL in Japan have sent over this new release. It's a sampler from their soon to be released Album Faces Past LP. Some really industrial, spacey ambient deep techno. I especially like the Hacking Infinity track, quite Jeff Mills as is the Armour To Paper. If you looking for deep grinding dysfunctional techno, check this sampler.

Christmas is over, I have my memory locked in now. It's the memory of all my family singing at the top of there range, at my parents home, in my old studio (the den). A moment I can savour. Now Christmas has passed as sadly have George Micheal and Carrie Fisher, what a terrible year it has been for the stars, dropping like.... So, at home, I dug out  some music I recorded on tapes, music that is over 20 years old now. The second tape I found had no writing on it, so I put in the only tape player we have in the house, and it just has a loop of George Micheal singing his song - Praying for Time, it's looping over, and over, none stop. Just 90min. of the same loop. Incredible. That tape has been sat in a draw for 20 years, or more gathering dust, I don't understand why it's got a short section of the song looping, and it's never been erased, it's never even been played, I don't even know how it got here. When your day is dark, and there seems to be no light. The Black Night may or may not offer refuge. Worst case senario, time to think and find the way forward. Each and everyone of us has a black night, the key is finding your way to the light.

Doing research and just reminded myself about how amazing this song was, it's never played, but for those old school kids from back in the day, you know the deal with this one. Grrh. Standing Tall.

Great set casting eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou, and the Eiffel Tower. You would never get to do this in Paris taking a strange concept ghost citys and using it as a stage. I wonder who else has done this.

Apparently Richard James has selected this young Dublin resident  to make the video. Been living in Spain for 11 years and some. Currently doing research into Flamenco for a client. I cannot believe no-one has ever presented me with this masterpiece. What an incredible fusion.

What can we do with our ashes when we die?  I am a vinyl junky, and have released a few in my time. This could well be a final pressing for me in the future. We could pres our remains into vinyl.   The company  And Vinyly  is provided the opportunity for vinyl enthusiasts.  They actually will take your ashes and press them into vinyl so you can actually become a record.  They offer a few different packages and, like an album, you get two sides to get your message across, albeit each side is only 12 minutes long.
