Aphex Twin - CIRKLON3 [ Колхозная mix ] - Listen here, Ryan Wyer Video.

Enjoying the new Cheeta EP by Apex Twin, out next week July 8th 2016. Pretty awesome video here too by a young video creator, and Youtube Game player. Apparently Richard James has selected this young Dublin resident  to make the video. I am sure Richard is delighted with the outcome.  I´d imagine  Ryan Wyer and the Wyer family over in Ireland will be happy with the traffic the video will receive.  Here you can listen to Apex Twin Cirklon 3 (????????? Mix)’ has the boy been hypnotised by Satan?

Deru - 1979 (Full Album) - A Poetic Exploration of Memory and Dream

Los Angeles-based musician and sound explorer, Benjamin Wynn, under his artistic alias Deru, has gifted us with an ethereal and thought-provoking auditory journey in the form of "1979." This album is a testament to his standing in the world of experimental-electronic music and his prowess as a researcher in sound engineering and computerized concept music. "1979" serves as a collection of microsonic ambient soundscapes, each delving into the intimate realms, personal dreamscapes, and the intricate tapestry of human emotions. Wynn employs beautifully animated timbres, flexible sound textures, and tonal colours to construct a profound and deeply introspective musical discourse.  Drawing from philosophical influences such as Jean Piaget, Frances Yates, and Henri Bergson, Wynn's compositions offer a censorial translation of these intellectual approaches. The album invites listeners on a serene and profound, darker meditation journey, encouraging introspection about

The music behind the worst album covers ever.

Some of the worst you have never seen. Even I was surprised at how bad some of these record covers are.

Legends of Vinyl - Skatt Bros. - Walk The Night 12 inch Extended by - DJ...

What can we do with our ashes when we die?  I am a vinyl junky, and have released a few in my time. This could well be a final pressing for me in the future. We could pres our remains into vinyl.   The company  And Vinyly  is provided the opportunity for vinyl enthusiasts.  They actually will take your ashes and press them into vinyl so you can actually become a record.  They offer a few different packages and, like an album, you get two sides to get your message across, albeit each side is only 12 minutes long. According to their website, they say,  “record a personal message, your last will & testament, your own soundtrack or simply press your ashes in to hear your pops and crackles for the minimum approach” A basic package starts at a neat £3,000.   You get up to 30 discs, your rest in vinyl album cover and label artwork (including your birth date and date of passing).  Of course you must supply the music.   If you don’t want your whole body burned and pressed in

Makes you wonder if The Caretaker has also influenced this release. Pretty funny, how my good friend Leyland Kirby just keeps moving into everything.

Wilbur de Paris & his new New Orleans Jazz 1958 That's A Plenty

That´s plenty - the tune gives the album it´s title, is a well known standard or at least it was back in the day. This version features the sparkling trumpet of Doc Cheatham. Doc is up tempo and keeping this standard exciting from some of the more lackadaisical versions you can hear from time to time in other places. Fast and smokey.

This is the one. I believe I already imagined sometime in the long past more than 15 years ago, that some day, I would be able to play this record out and about. It´s with me here in Madrid, with a stack of Soul, Jazz, Blues, and Swing. Here I come Madrid.

Bob & Early

Yeh, this bad boy just arrived in Madrid with a good handful of other vinyl of mine. Spent last week at home in Manchester, digging through my 3000 vinyl strong collection.  I´ve got this record on 10 inch here, Sue Record. It´s just one of those tracks that kills it. Get into the slide.
