Birthdays, ontop of birthdays, rolling from one thing to another

Just sums my night up, curry with Becks, Leilah, Cristina, Dil and Claire. Followed by Swing at Traveling, and a chance collision with Cesar & Antonio at said bar. After swinging that side, we landed in the hands of the greatest captain, Tony! A classic night, alright in Madrid.x

Running!!!!

My old Mate Keith Fullerton Whitman is getting riding on the 9, and thinking about the next zero!!!

While he thinks about the 9 to 0, again for the fourth time, music follows, funny what numbers can do to us!!!! check the link as Keith is a good chap, following more details about the why, when and what! https://soundcloud.com/kfw/sets/greatest-hits "Greatest Hits" (2003-) … on the eve of my 30th birthday, I began rendering "automatic" "enhancements" of only the most salient points of the pop music of my youth ; a line, bar, or fragment of a particular song (after being heard out in "the wild" in the present ; akin to running into an old friend on the street) was chosen based on how much my nostalgic recollection of it differed from its contemporary reality. Each was played back at exactly half-speed, then run through a series of time- and gain-based processes that slowly & meticulously chewed through the audio, revealing hidden layers of content, context, and temporal / spectral production details … shining a flashlight

OVE-NAX in Madrid

A great friend of mind Germaine just reminded me of my old mate OVE-NAX. So, I thought I would post this. Quite a few years back I had the pleasure of howling and showing a champion fisherman, showman, DJ and producer Mr Ove-Nax, the mythical grabber dance. At the time rumors we correct that, I knew the dance well, and that I could teach it. Ove-Nax, knowing something about my colorful background, was straight onto me and asking me to show him and demonstrate ´´Grabber´´, movements.... Within a short time, he had adapted the correct footwork, he was light and fast with good posture. Inspired, I showed him more. After a short time, he was rocking the grabber dance and adding his own gestures, role play and improvisations, much to the amusement of the onlookers at the nightclub. It has been sometime since I have spoken with him and indeed danced grabber, but with very little language, as my Japanese was and is rusty, we managed to engage in a wonderful cultural exchange of  the d

Currently Inspired by The Ethnosphere - New Jansky Noise works to follow

The ethnosphere is the sum total of the world's cultures. It incorporates, among other cultural facets, ". . . all thoughts, dreams, ideas, beliefs, myths, intuitions, and inspirations brought into being by the human imagination since the dawn of consciousness". Ethnosphere refers to both the accumulation of living cultures and the ancient lineages from which they evolved. This concept, is something else, it has helped me to hang new works onto it. Watch this space!!

The Find of the day, love the barking in this, so so good!

Earl Bostic - Harlem Nocturne

Late night in the end, found myself back at the best bar in Madrid. You got to love Tony

Been working on advanced and creepy musics like this!

The Blackout and decapitation of The Internet.

When you listen to this, you must accept that it is loaded and charged full of energy. What a fu*king message. As Lil Louis said, ´´if we dont change quick, it´s coming´´....Well, today it has never been truer. Are you ready for the decapitating of the internet, and the Blackout? Will someone flick the switch? I believe they can and much more.

FINI TRIBE - DE TESTIMONY

I was just reminded of this track by a certain Mr Acid Alan. It has not been mentioned in some time. Great show from the Fini Tribe, poor that this has had so few views on Youtube. A lost track, which had so much force, now shadowed by drivel and lesser releases without the same attitude. We know who you are at Fini and we have faith in your energy of 1987. ARRRRGH

Pita - Get Out

I remember when I did the sound for Pita R at an event arranged by Fat Cat London. It was incredible what came through the system thanks both to this and the EQ touch I gave. Needless to say, Pita took his drink and attitude off into the night, rarely to be seen again with my eyes, well that is, until we crossed paths when we both played at Benicasim Festival in 2004. Today, really is a day of thinking back and going forward.

Django Reinhardt - Aquarela do Brasil

Brazil - Geoff Muldaur

I have just deleted 9,000 emails from my sent box. They have gone! Never to come back. Tomorrow is another day. All in the past. The last 24hr. my head has been full of this. So, no I play Brazil, Brasil,  and think about dancing under the Golden Bridge. CA. Honestly! And, yesterday, I sent the saddest song, laced in all this, when the release comes out on the 10 Label  Japan, you too can hear. In the meantime, roll on.

Paul Lansky - Um

Time for some Lansky again. I remember my first trip to NYC, shopping with Mr Daniel Raffle for music. I was able to pick up a  Lansky album Hombrew, which I had been after for some time. This must have been about 1999. I was delighted, the track that did it for me back then was one called Tables Clear. It's not on Youtube. I loved this track as it was in my ears a kind of acoustic version of what Autechre were doing, only Lansky did it with percussion. Funny, how later Kid A, had Lansky away too. I guess we were all making discovery's at the same time. Only Radio Head took it somewhere else.  Got to know the source if you want to shape the future.

Tain't What You Do - Jimmy Lunceford

Shockingly bad service from blogger

Over the last 12 months, I have attempted to complain about the shocking, impoverish and slow Blogger back end user interface. Writing to Google Blogger about the poor service has just gotten worse and over the years, as the whole thing takes a massive back step to become more robotic, automatic and reliant on ´you´, yourself to fix all.  The new blogger templates are riddled with problems, which as a beta you would expect to find, but since those new templates have been live for more than 12 months and it still comes with masses of glitch and error, I´d stay clear, unless you like that kind of thing. Even the original Google blogging templates and back end really do help you waste a mass of valuable time.  I don't know about you, but don't you just love it when you try to add a link from a Youtube video into a blogger template and site? On the surface, this seems to be the most simple of act, yet. when you click that share button, select where you want to share it, dar
