Here is a project by artist Martin Backes that features a sinewave running on a machine.
The machine appears to be singing, and performing 90s hits from the likes of Whitney Houston and Celine Dion.
This project is a very long way from my own personal future vison of having powerful DSP plugins that just give you a preset for say Elvis, or Frank Sinatra.
V/Vm dreamed of adding a preferred vocalist like an instrument to any song.
I am sure I am not alone, having the power to add any top 100 artist and apply, just as you can select a violin instrument, is really something to open and experiement with.
Here the simplicity is charming and quaint as our screen vocals and mimics the ballads.
